Orient is a delivery app designed for a conceptual high-end sushi restaurant.


This mobile app offers customers the luxury of ordering dishes from the restaurant’s exquisite menu and having them delivered directly to their doorstep. The app caters to convenience by allowing users to choose their preferred franchise outlet and customize the ingredients in their orders for a personalized dining experience.

The app targets elite professionals and connoisseurs valuing culinary excellence, flawless service, and convenience. The app brings their favorite restaurant experience to their doorstep, providing clear visuals and the agency to select dishes, customize them or put together a dish based on the ingredients of their choice.


Customers can choose between different franchise outlets based on their proximity and track the delivery personnel’s location from the outlet to their destination.

Design by Bahar Anv served as a reference for adding the element of playfulness to the user experience.

The approach to the design was integrating an element of playfulness into the experience of ordering food from the restaurant.


Customers can choose between ordering the daily specials or putting together preferred ingredients in their meal using the ‘drag and drop’ functionality.



The iconography is simple and clean, adding a layer of sophistication to the app’s aesthetic while keeping the text legible.


Concerning the app’s aesthetic, the use of earthy colours complemented the bright shade of red that helps draw the user into the experience. With respect to typography, Sen was used as the primary font for the app while Montserrat was used for the franchise’s logo.
